Pool Gregg connection

Poole Family Bible:

The Bible originally belonged to a David Kittinger, who must have given it to Bannister Pool and Mary Gregg for their wedding. It was published in 1816 in Philadelphia. The frontispiece states: "This Bible is the property of David Kittinger." Parts of the page are missing, but what is readable, says that he purchased it for $15.00, bought in the year 1817. He has written that his birthdate is Sept. 19th 1794, and his wife's birthdate is Sept? 1797. Their wedding day was November 30th? 1815 (the writing is blurred). His wife's name was Margaret Bingaman. They were married by the same minister as Bannister and Mary, Rev. Henge. It looks like Margaret lived in Hamiltonban Township, Adams County.Pa. David Kittinger entered the marriage info on April 27th, 1817. They had Joseph Kittinger, born 10/04/1816; the second entry is very hard to read: Possibly Barbara Kittinger born 1818. Most of that entry is illegible. That is all for the Kittinger family.

It goes on to Bannister Pool and Mary Polly Gregg Pool and their family. Mary Polly's parents are listed. Her father's name was James Gregg. There is no date of birth, but his date of death was 11/11/ 1830. Her mother was Elizabeth: Date of death: 12/02/1821, aged 53 yrs, so the math says she was born sometime in 1768 somewhere in PA. Mary Polly was born 1-1-1803. Three sons are named: James date of death: 10/02/1827; Samuel, date of death: 07/31/182?; (the last digit was torn off); John Gregg date of death: 01/24/183?--again, this part of the page is torn off. That is all the entries for the Gregg family. No birthdates, noted.

Bannister Pool and Polly Gregg were married June 5 1819 by Rev Henge in Franklin Township, Adams county Pa.
